Hello there. Since 1987 I have been developing, delivering and training others to deliver, a career decision making and development program, The Implicit Career Search. ICS is designed to help individuals clarify who they intend to be and how their work will make a positive difference in our world. It is rewarding, and often bemusing, for me to realize that the program is now being delivered throughout North America and Europe, guiding thousands of individuals toward joyous and impactful careers. As I finally come close to considering ICS to be a 'finished product' I notice my passion is turning toward helping people get 'unstuck' in other areas of their life. This shows up on this site under the heading 'Wisdom Development.' and, just as with ICS, I am determined to bring you the most no-nonsense, effective and safe techniques available to help you become as real as you would like to. Which, I suspect, is the wisest thing you can do.
If you are here to consider career exploration, whether deciding upon your first career or transitioning from a current one, my suggestion is, no matter your current circumstances, to first consider the contribution you will make with the career path you choose. Establish that contribution as your home base for all subsequent career decisions and you will become successful. And, best of all, successful on your own terms!
All careers are as successful as the plan they are based upon. If you want a more successful career, develop a better plan. Oh, you need to know what a plan is...

A couple of highlights from results garnered by Brentwood Bay Resort since using The Emergent Leaders Program. It is useful to note that the resort was achieving very good results prior to using TELP (average turnover rate for hotels is 34% and for restaurants 66%). TELP helped moved the BBR stats from very good to excellent.

ATTENTION SCHOOLS AND VETERANS!
The most commonly asked question during an ICS Workshop is "Why isn't this available in schools?" My answer to that is "It certainly can be!" To make good on that promise I am offering all ICS certification and licensing fees at a 50% discount to all high-schools. I am also extending this offer to veterans as they are another group that I see benefitting tremendously from this approach and have difficulty accessing it.
If you are feeling stuck, less successful than you want to be, lost or frustrated in any area of your life be it: career; relationships; family; money; etc., you are most likely being held back either by previous traumas, present fears, or future shoulds. These negative charges lead to atrophy in your mind in the same way that untreated muscle injuries do in your body. Ten years ago it was difficult to imagine that emotional and psychological rigidities, especially the deep and chronic, could be removed in an hour long session. Now there are procedures achieving just that, increased mental and emotional fitness in an extremely short period of time. For the past year I have been incorporating the work of Zivorad Slavinski (PEAT) into my own work to provide my clients with safe and effective tools to help them become joyously unstuck and to get what they want out of life.
